Poet, composer, theologian, and feminist, the remarkable Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz was renowned far beyond her native Mexico. While almost none of her own music has survived, many composers from across Spain and Latin America set her words to their own music. Henry Lebedinsky and the Underground House Singers perform rarely-heard works by Sor Juana as well as Antonio Salazar, Marcos de Navas, and Matiás Durango.”

The violin first arrived in Scotland in the 17th century, and quickly became established in musical life both at court and in the countryside. Explore the intersection of art and folk music in the Celtic traditions, from high Baroque to high-spirited reels, jigs, and Strathspeys, across the ages and across the Atlantic, from 18th century Edinburgh to Cape Breton, Appalachia, and the Pacific Northwest. Renowned violinist/fiddlers David Greenberg and Brandon Vance join harpsichordist/guitarist Henry Lebedinsky to end the Underground season on a high note!”
